Keeping Your Memories Forever
One-shot scenes are a lot harder to create than they may seem. This one might look like a pretty simple shot, but a lot of preparation time went into finding the right house and figuring the distance between each key point in the scene, adjusting lights to eliminate camera shadows, and dress it to look inhabited but not cluttered.
Then, to pull off the shot required five hands-on crew members: a camera operator, gimbal operator, focus puller, door opener, and someone counting between beats to make sure we met the commercial’s required duration. With so much effort and coordination going into a shoot like this, it’s exciting when everything falls into place and we get a great shot that captures the right emotion and messaging.
